Hotel Prices
Prices can vary dramatically at hotels near Silverstone with summer and events at the race circuit pushing prices upwards. During the winter months prices stay quite low and there is often no problems trying to find a room. However, when the big events at Silverstone take place (Formula 1 British Grand Prix, MotoGP, Superbikes etc) prices can go skywards and a room can often cost twice the price or sometimes even more.
The key to avoiding paying so much is to book well in advance, months rather than weeks for example. Hotels around Silverstone can get fully booked up to 6 months in advance for the British Grand Prix weekend and therefore trying to find accommodation for that particular time can be nearly impossible. The only other option is find a bed and breakfast (quite difficult during large events) or to camp at one of the many campsites around the circuit.
Pricing
3 star hotels in the area start from around £40 per night, 4 star hotels start from about £50 and can cost as much as £120pn. Bed and breakfast is a little cheaper starting from around £25 but can sometimes work out better value as breakfast isn’t always included in the price at a hotel.

If you require Internet access when staying a hotel always check beforehand to see if there is a charge for using it. Although some hotels offer free Internet there are still some in the area who charge their guests and it can sometimes be quite costly.
