2010 British Touring Car Championship
The most exhilarating championship is heading to Silverstone this year on Friday 20th until Sunday 22nd August for what will be a fantastic weekend of intense racing and paint swapping! The British Touring Car championship is one the highly contested championships in the world and some say it’s the pinnacle of saloon car racing.
The whole weekend will be action packed both on and off the track. Entertainment includes funfair rides and activities, pitwalk and autograph sessions and pleasure flights in a helicopter. Ticket prices start from £15 per person and include FREE open paddock, grandstand seating, entry for children under 15 and car parking. There are lots of other things to see and do such as the large number of shops, trade mall, cafes, bars, food establishments and a giant screen ensuring you won’t miss any of the track action.
A large number of visitors to this event like to stay for the whole weekend (3 days), if you want to do this you may want to consider a hotel near Silverstone. Whittlebury Hall Hotel and Spa – Less than 1 mile from the circuit entrance this hotel is the most popular in the area and whenever there is a race on at the Silverstone circuit it is full of race goers. A 4 star hotel with leisure club that has a great reputation that will not disappoint!
Kingfisher Hotel – Located a little further away than the previous hotel the Kingfisher Hotel is set in beautiful grounds where you will feel relaxed. Very reasonably priced and with a whole host of wonderful facilities you will enjoy your stay here.
Hilton Northampton Hotel – This one needs no introduction. Everyone knows the quality of a Hilton establishment and the Northampton hotel is no exception. With a fantastic restaurant and great value for money this place comes highly recommended.
